Ulviyya Mahmudova (Azerbaijani: Ülviyya Mahmudova) – is an Azerbaijan public figure, editor-in-chief of Nargis Magazine, launched in Baku in 2012.

Early life and Education

Mahmudova was born in Baku on January 13, 1985. She is daughter of professor Nargis Pashayeva, the rector of the Lomonosov Moscow State University Baku Branch, and sister of artist Aida Mahmudova, the founder and creative director of YARAT Contemporary Art Space[1].


In 2007, Mahmudova graduated from Regent’s University London with a BA Degree in Psychology.
In 2006-2007, Mahmudova had a one-year internship at UNICEF.
